Meningkatkan Keterampilan Menulis Paragraf Argumentasi Melalui Model Pembelajaran Inkuiri Jurisprudensial Pada Siswa Kelas Ixc Smp Negeri 2 Cikupa

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of argumentation paragraph writing skills through a jurisprudential inquiry learning model. The formulation of the problem in this study is 1) How to improve the argumentation paragraph writing skills of class IXC students of SMP Negeri 2 Cikupa after using the jurisprudential inquiry learning model, 2) How is the change in learning behavior of class IXC students of SMP Negeri 2 Cikupa after using the jurisprudential inquiry learning model, 3) How is the interest of class IXC students of SMP Negeri 2 Cikupa towards learning to write argumentative paragraphs using the jurisprudential inquiry learning model.

This research is a classroom action research that uses two cycles, each cycle consists of two meetings. The research subjects were students of class IXC of SMP Negeri 2 Cikupa, totaling 36 students. The variable revealed in the research is the skill of writing argumentative paragraphs through the jurisprudential inquiry learning model. Data collection techniques used test instruments and non-test instruments in the form of observations, interviews and questionnaires. The results showed an increase in argumentation paragraph writing skills in class IXC students of SMP Negeri 2 Cikupa.

The percentage of students' completeness in writing argumentative paragraphs in the pre-cycle reaches 31% and is still less than the set standard of completeness, which is 85%. The percentage in the first cycle reached 83%. It is also still within the limits of completeness set. In the cycle the percentage of completeness reaches 92% and has met the specified completeness limit. In addition, the behavior and interests of students also increased for the better.
