PENTINGNYA KESESUAIAN LATAR BELAKANG PENDIDIKAN TERHADAP PROFESIONALISME GURU

Abstract

Dalam tulisan ini terdapat tolak ukur keberhasilan prestasi siswa dalam pendidikan adalah linearitas pendidik dalam profesionalisme penguasaan materi. Lembaga pendidikan yang seharusnya mencetak anak didik siap pakai dan berilmu menjadi hilang, disebabkan kualitas guru yang tidak professional. ada beberapa asumsi yang melandasi perlunya profesionalisme guru dalam pendidikan dan ada beberapa persyaratan khusus yang harus dipenuhi guru profesionalisme dalam pendidikan. Sikap professional seorang guru sangat diperlukan dalam pendidikan. Tugas guru tidak hanya mengajar, tetapi juga mendidik, mengasuh, membimbing dan membentuk kepribadian siswa guna menyiapkan dan mengembangkan sumber daya manusia. Guru adalah pendidik profesional dengan tugas utama mendidik mengajar, membimbing, mengarahkan, melatih, menilai, dan mengevaluasi  peserta didik pada jalur pendidikan formal, pendidikan dasar, dan pendidikan menengah.
